After his arrest, Nariman Seitaliev was placed in Pre-trial Detention Centre No. 2 in Simferopol. His wife Zarema reported that before his detention, he had several chronic illnesses, including pancreatic issues, for which doctors prescribed a strict diet and medication. A few days before the search, he also sought medical help for severe kidney pain. The family expresses serious concern that he may not receive necessary treatment in detention conditions.

According to his wife, after his transfer to the detention centre, the family sent letters but did not receive responses from Nariman for a long time. Human rights advocates emphasize that restrictions on family communication, inadequate medical care, and the closed nature of the court process are typical human rights violations in politically motivated criminal cases that Russia conducts against Crimean Tatars in the occupied peninsula.
